She's an antisemite. Her books are full of slave apologism. She has single-handedly pushed trans rights back by decades. I didn't say her name, but you thought of her.

  1. I knew from the first sentence
  2. Not sure who you are talking about.
  3. It definitely doesn't help the reputation that said author is supporting things that make it harder for women to use the bathroom, trans or otherwise
  4. Same person who is a billionaire yet chooses to spend all of her waking hours on social media bashing a small group of people from the inside of a moldy mansion?
  5. Could have been a bunch of people until you hit trans rights.
  6. It doesn't take a magic school to catch your drift.
  7. Don't forget the denial that there were queer victims of the Holocaust!
  8. sooo can someone drop the name so i know who to avoid
  9. Turns out I was aiming low, because I originally thought Katie Hopkins.
  10. I knew exactly which disgusting bitch you were talking about.
  11. We all know!!
  12. This has gotta be about that English broad who writes books for kids, right?
  13. Oh you man the withered up old C*** who has so much hate in her heart (and barely any talent on the typewriter) and won't let go of her glory hole -ahem- years?
  14. The "fun" part of writing this tweet was deciding which three heinous things I was going to pick. I could have called her racist, classist, fatphobic, xenophobic, sexist, homophobic... I could have called her a number of things, and I would have been able to defend all of them.
  15. Then perhaps you're not this post's target audience, and I mean that in the nicest possible way
  16. The gender studies book burning that is documented on film never happened, duh
  17. She's the "it's a fake target and you put it there yourself" lady, right?
  18. theyre talking about jk rowling i'm guessing god i hate vagueposters who speak in riddles
  19. JK Rowling
  20. Same one
  21. Definitely fatphobic or weightist as I called it the other day when talking about doctors and I forgot the term
  22. So you won't tell me who? I am an ally.
  23. Acephobic as hell too
  24. I only know her as a vibe, rather than anything that she’s specifically done. Probably?
  25. Huh, I like weightist
  26. Jk rowling, most likely
  27. I'm American so I'm ignorant lol
  28. Ooh. Intrigued. It quotient surprise me but I can't think of an example
  29. I was thinking Rowling, she has been disgusting, especially for a woman who taught the world no one should live in a closet. But I don't get the apologist for slavery comment.
  30. I tend to prefer -ist to -phobic...
  31. Same here. I get the feeling that a good American analogue for her would be Laura Ingraham.
  32. Last year, Joanne Rowling, without any prompting from anyone, decided to call asexuality a made up thing on Asexuality Awareness Day I won't dig thru Xitter to find the post but it was the only post that ye that wasn't her hating on trans people.
  33. The entire house elf thing is literally just "it's ok they like being slaves" with any opposition to it being treated as delusional bleeding heart nonsense. You give her far too much credit.
  34. Oh I vaguely remember that now. I was trying to think of something in the books that suggested it
  35. Most folks who have read the books don't pay attention to the author, so her elaborations on the book are not nearly so well known. I recall being confused by the books trying to normalize the slavery of the elves after Dobby's heroism, and pride in freedom was, were celebrated. It's not coherent.
  36. Gold. Comedy gold.
  37. And till it got to the transgender line, I thought it might be Ayn Rand.
